It's just an advance on next year's refund anyways, right?

Some of us don't like getting big fat refunds, and try to make sure we get our money up front. Will this nonsense mean we have to change our deductions so we don't get nailed next year? Isn't helping me if it's just going to bite me in the ass next year. :(
