captpackrat | LJ post fail

Why am I having so much trouble getting e-mail posting to work? Is something broken with LJ? It doesn't work from my computer using Outlook or using webmail, but it does work using the same account and same servers from my cellphone. It doesn't work from LoudTwitter, but it does from Gmail. I'm not getting any errors, the messages are just disappearing into thin air.
