The End Is Nigh!
Today is my last day at work. They don't have a replacement for me yet, so whoever they hire is just gonna have to puzzle stuff out by themselves.
Payday is today, and I think they're going to try to give me another check for this week plus my vacation time.
Once I get off work, I have to run to the library, since I missed a few of my grandfather's books when I dropped off the donations Wednesday. If I get a check from work, I'll have to stop at the bank. Then I have to drive way out of my way to drop off the cable modem at the Cox office in Oceanside.
And then it's time to pack my car. I sure hope I can get everything in there without blocking my vision too badly. I wish I'd had time to install a hitch so I could rent a trailer or at least buy one of those hitch luggage racks. I'm so glad I didn't buy a bicycle a while back.
My network has been disassembled and my computers shut down, so I won't have Internet access after I leave work (except via my cellphone, or by tethering my phone to my PDA).
First thing tomorrow morning, I'm hitting the road. I probably won't be coming back.
Damn, I forgot to stop at Costco this morning to buy gas. Trying to fill up in the afternoon is an exercise in patience, which I don't have right now. I'll have to hit the Costco station in Temecula on my way out tomorrow morning.
So much to do, so much to do....
EDIT: Whoops, before I leave work, I have to disassemble my chair and cram it into the car. Wheee! More stuff to do!
