Again with the flowers!

This isn't really a lawn, it's a botanical garden.  These pinkish flowers have begun to appear on the lawn.  Not sure what they are yet, Google isn't much help.  It looks familiar, somehow.

EDIT:  Thanks to [personal profile] altivo, Google and Wikipedia, it appears to be Field Bindweed

It looks like morning glory.

Eyup, I'd have to see the leaves to be sure though.

If the flowers are large, like 3 inches across or so, it's probably an escaped domestic variety of morning glory. If they are small and growing on long twisty string-like vines, it is probably bindweed, a relative of the morning glory. If on the other hand they are on short spiny-stemmed plants with leaves sort of like tomato leaves, they are likely Jimson weed (also a relative of morning glory.) All are pretty flowers, but toxic to eat (especially the seeds.)

The flowers are about an inch or so across. It doesn't look much like Jimson weed, the flowers look a lot like the pictures I find on Google of bindweed.

It appears to be Field Bindweed, Convolvulus arvensis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:20050807-002-bindweed.jpg
