I was ready for the 80's

I was listening to the Very Best of the Village People album and the song "I'm Ready For The 80's" came on and it got me thinking.  Disco was pretty much dead by 1981, and the Village People were mostly washed up by then as well.  Apparently they weren't ready for the 80's.
