I was expecting a package from UPS today.  They didn't deliver until 6:15, well after dark, and the driver left the package all the way down at the end of the driveway.  So I had to walk a half mile in the dark to go get it.  Thanks a lot.  At least it wasn't too horrifically cold (just below freezing) or windy and the snow and sleet won't start until tomorrow.

I'd be pretty upset if they left packages out in the weather, per se. I don't expect the sending parties to wrap for that, only for getting knocked about and stepped on in the trucks ;o)

I'm expecting a lot of things over the next two days (yay, Amazon Prime!) and hope they don't get stuck in the driveway like last year. They shouldn't drive in here (they can walk up the hundred or so feet), and when the truck tried turning around the end result was tire chains and a ripping mad driver (tisk).

Our driveway was plowed shortly after the snowstorm and we've driven a pickup up and down it several times, so the remaining snow is well packed. It shouldn't be a problem for them to drive at least up to the gate. The FedEx driver actually walked the entire length of the driveway (about 1000 feet from the road to the gate), but the UPS driver keeps leaving packages out by the mailbox. That's not much of a problem, if they drop off the packages while there's still daylight.

It's 6:41pm and I still have a package that's "out for delivery"
