Forget birds, I need a bunny feeder

Anyone have any suggestions on something I could put outside that would allow me to supply food to the local rabbits without it getting covered with snow?  I've got a bunch of alfalfa/timothy/beet pulp pellets and would like to place a small amount outside to encourage the local bunny populations, but the stuff gets soggy when wet.

I only know the things that look like water coolers but they still have an unsheltered area for it. What about building a small shelter like thing for over the food anyways? A lean-to of sorts?

We've got plenty of scrap lumber around here, maybe I can come up with something.
