I assume you want that in US$?
With my old car (they charge more for newer cars right here), and with the exchange rate being steeper when I had my old car, I would have actually been under $500 US per year.

Mine was $700 a year with my old car, but I just bought a newer one, so now it's up to $1,100. Still not bad for California at all.
