Payday!

Tomorrow is PAYDAY! Yay! With this paycheck I'll finally get the taxes and bills paid off, so I can throw my next paycheck at a new PDA.

I've been without a PDA for nearly 2 months now, the longest I've gone without one in over 10 years. It's been driving me crazy not having information at my fingertips all the time.

I'm strongly considering the Dell Axim X50v. I've had no experience with Dell handhelds, though I've been extremely happy with my Dell laptop, and all the Dell desktops around here work quite well. The only handheld I've ever been diappointed with was the Toshiba, but everything they make seems to be crap anyway, so that's no surprise.

I have mucked from a PDA, as well as using Instant Messaging, e-mail, and web surfing. Many modern PDA's have built-in wireless network cards, so all you need is a "hot spot" and you can do pretty much anything you could with a full size computer.

The only real obstacle to mucking on a PDA is the lack of a full-size keyboard. You have to touch the tiny little on-screen keyboard with the stylus, or else use one of those funky "grafiti" input systems like the Palm comes with.

I've never seen any bad reviews of the x50v ... if I were going to get a PocketPC for myself right now, that would probably be it.
