Strange toothache

For the past couple days, the back of my jaw has been hurting. It almost feels as if my rear molar is crooked and a sharp point is jabbing into my cheek. I'm wondering if I should make an appointment with the dentist for this.

Well, probably your rear molar is crooked and a sharp point is jabbing into your cheek. You should probably make an appointment with the dentist for it.

Might be wisdom teeth, alternatively, but aren't you a little old for wisdom teeth?

It could be the way you're sleeping. I get that sometimes, and it's due to laying on my side and the pillow presses into the back of my jaw. It presses the inside of my cheek against my teeth and I wake up sore.
