Employed again!

Just got a call from the Project Manager at the company where I've been doing consulting work. They've decided to hire me on permanent! That means more money, plus benefits!

It's been 3 years since I've had a real, full time job. And this will be the first job I've ever had that provides benefits.

I start Monday morning at 7:00 am!

The Eyes Have it

Managed to get an appointment to see an eye doctor this afternoon.

Turns out I had an enormous corneal erosion covering most of the front of the eye. The doctor picked off the remaining dead cells, and put a contact lens bandage over it. She prescribed some antibiotics and some pain killers, and I go back in next Friday.

My eye isn't hurting anymore, though the contact lens is a bit irritating, but that should go away in a few days.
