Dinner tonight was totally improvised and it came out fantastic.
First I marinated some firm tofu, cut into cubes, in a mixture of House of Tsang Wok Oil (flavored with garlic, ginger, onion and cilantro), toasted sesame oil and soy sauce. Then I heated up some Wok Oil and sesame oil in a large skillet, then tossed in some minced garlic and sauteed for a minute or so. Then I sauteed some carrots for about 3 minutes then added a healthy dose of soy sauce. Then I added some green onions and cabbage and sauteed them for a minute or two. Then I tossed in the tofu, and cooked for another minute. Then I added some chuka soba noodles and stir-stir-stirred until the noodles where well mixed in with the veggies. Then I tasted the veggies and added more oil and soy sauce to get the flavor right. Then I tossed in a handful of toasted sesame seeds.
I served the stir fry with some sweet rice and seasoned rice vinegar. I even served fortune cookies (store bought) afterward.
