Keyboard, how quaint!

Anyone know how to get GIMP 2.4.5 to understand the eraser on my Wacom Graphire 3 tablet (under Windows)?  It can see the tip end just fine, and registers the pressure levels on both the tip and the eraser, but the eraser just draws same as the tip, it doesn't erase.
