Sheep are highly sociable animals; a lone sheep is an unhappy sheep.  Our flock was down to just two, one of whom is getting on in years.  Sheep will accept other species into their flock, including goats, llamas and donkeys.  Sheep prefer sweet foods and will tend to avoid eating weeds like burdock, thistle or dandelion while goats love these bitter plants, so goats and sheep are a perfect match.
