So when does MLP start being good? I watched the first two episodes and while I laughed a few times, it wasn't anything that hooked me or made me want to watch more. Does it change in later episodes, or is it always a kid's show at its core?
It usually takes a few episodes to really get hooked. I'd recommend the episode Applebuck Season, the 4th of the series.
I'd also suggest watching the first two episodes of the second season, The Return of Harmony Parts 1 & 2. They star John De Lancie as the Q-like Spirit of Chaos, Discord.
