According to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6401635/site/newsweek/ "Exit polls showed that 22 percent of voters named "moral values" as the most important issue to them -- ranking it higher than the economy and the Iraq war."
Statistics shows us that 22.8% of the population has an IQ between 70 and 90.
Correlation?
This also shows that nearly 1/4 of the population thinks that preventing gay marriage is more important than the illegal invasion of sovereign nations and the murder of hundreds of thousands of her citizens.

What I find most disturbing is that the exit polls showed that 52% of Bush voters think that gay couples should have no legal recognition. 37% of Bush voters are in favour of same-sex civil unions, and only 11% of Bush voters are in favour of gay marriage. Since it was over half of his voters that said no legal representation, he may go with that rather than what he promised.
Meanwhile 23% of those who chose to identify themselves as gays, lesbians, and bisexuals on the exit poll voted for Bush. I don't understand.
