captpackratI stopped in a local bike shop to get an idea of prices. Good God, they are insane!!! I was hoping to be able to buy a bike for $200-250 or so. Not a chance. The cheapest they had was $400, and the average price was $2000-3000!!!
Umm, no. I could buy a brand new Honda scooter for less than that.
All I want is BASIC transportation. Something to go about 8 miles to/from work. I don't need a titanium frame, I don't need magnesium wheels, I don't need 100 gears, I don't need a racing or mountain or BMX bike. Just something to hop on and pedal off, like I used to do when I was in school.
Guess I'm going to have to look into maybe buying a used scooter or something.
