I've been moving furniture around today, and using various cleaning rags to clean off the dust. I picked up a rag that was lying on the floor, and felt it crunch. I unfolded the rag to find out what it was, and found a brown, dried up something or other. And then I noticed the characteristic incisors.

I can't figure out how the mouse managed to get inside the rag and still keep it nicely folded. But it had apparently been there a LONG LONG time. There wasn't much left except the skull and a bit of dried up flesh. If it weren't for the fact that I'm relatively familiar with murine anatomy (I have a small collection of various rodent skulls), I'd probably never figured out what it was.

There's a Murine Corps Recruit Training Depot near you. Some of those bois wouldn't mind you studying their anatomy. "No really! It's study!" (slurp)
