Eat Mor Chikin

The first Chick-Fil-A in San Diego County opened today in Oceanside, and since I had some coupons, I stopped in for breakfast.

Meh. It's decent chicken, a bit better than KFC, but not as good as Popeyes, IMO. Terribly salty. Prices (at least for breakfast) aren't bad, cheaper than McDonalds, but not as cheap as Jack-In-The-Box. And it's conveniently on the way to work.

Holy bandwidth leeches!

Ch-ch-ch-ch-chicken!

Had another coupon for a free sandwich, so I stopped by the new Chick-Fil-A for dinner. Holy Flurking Shnit! I've NEVER seen so many people in one restaurant! There had to be several hundred people there! They had a cop in the parking lot directing traffic!

The fries were fantastic. Some of the best fries I've ever had.

The regular sandwich was OK. The concept of pickles on a chicken sandwich is kinda weird, but not too bad. The chicken was nice and juicy, but a bit too salty. Could have used some kind of sauce on the bun, mayo or something.

I also tried their grilled chicken sandwich. Ugh. Worst... sandwich... ever...! The bun was soaking wet, and the chicken totally flavorless. Ick.
