New record! The 22nd named storm of the season. The normal name list was exhausted with Wilma, so all further storms will use the Greek alphabet (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc)

I've been moving furniture around today, and using various cleaning rags to clean off the dust. I picked up a rag that was lying on the floor, and felt it crunch. I unfolded the rag to find out what it was, and found a brown, dried up something or other. And then I noticed the characteristic incisors.

I can't figure out how the mouse managed to get inside the rag and still keep it nicely folded. But it had apparently been there a LONG LONG time. There wasn't much left except the skull and a bit of dried up flesh. If it weren't for the fact that I'm relatively familiar with murine anatomy (I have a small collection of various rodent skulls), I'd probably never figured out what it was.
