captpackrat[Error: unknown template qotd] January 28, 1986, I was in a junior high school assembly when the Vice Principal came in and announced that the space shuttle had exploded. Everyone thought he was joking, but it soon became apparent he was serious. We spent the rest of the day watching the news on TV.
