Poison Apple

I got a letter from Costco warning that Crunch Pak Organic Apple Slices sold between December 26th and January 12th may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.  They're recalling any packages of apples sold between those dates; if you return them to the store, they'll give your a full refund.

I bought two boxes, each containing 8 packets.  One box is still unopened in the refrigerator, but I've eaten several packets out of the other box.  Yikes.

I feel fine. The letter said there were no reported illnesses from the apples, they're just taking precautions. Listeria can make healthy people sick, but it's only really dangerous to children, the elderly and those with weak immune systems.
