I managed to get within 10 feet of this rabbit before it took off.  Combined with the powerful zoom lens on this camera, I managed to get close enough that you can clearly see the veins in its ears.  Clicky for full size (huge).

Horta!

Contemplation

Watchful

(Damn but there's a lot of dandelions in the lawn.)

So many bunnies outside this evening!  I saw at least a half-dozen, and there may have been more outside the fence.  All running and leaping and playing and having bunny fun.

As always, clicky for full-size.

Action Bun!
(I caught this one entirely by accident.  It's blurry because the camera was configured for low light rather than high speed.)

The bunnies have been eating the sheep food all winter long, so they've grown nice and plump.  This one was nibbling on spilled seed from the bird feeder.  I missed some really great pictures because it was getting dark and I had the ISO set too low, making most of them blurry.

This afternoon I saw a CUTE little bunny nibbling grass outside the kitchen window. I grabbed my camera and carefully opened the kitchen door, poked my head and the camera out, zoomed in and took a picture. Then the sheep came over, bleating as loud as they could begging for treats, scaring the poor bunny away.

Click on the pictures to see them at full size.

This one is at 100% zoom. You can actually see the reflection of the house and the trees in the rabbit's eye! I love this camera!

Bunneh!

Look out little bunneh!

The cat who just showed up one day. We don't feed her, and there's no other houses around for a good mile or so, so she's obviously finding something to eat. Hopefully that means she's keeping down the pest population.

Hey! Down here!

Baaaaaby lamb!

Visibility is kinda crappy today, so this didn't come out very clear, but that tower (which is the endpoint of our wireless Internet connection) is a good 4 miles away. It's barely visible to the naked eye. This was taken using just the camera and its built-in lens, no telescope or teleconverter, no Photoshoppery, not even a tripod. I love the lens on this camera.

While cleaning out the garage several months ago, I found a rabbit skull. I guess it had gotten into the garage and died there long ago. There wasn't much left of it; I almost didn't recognize it at first.

While doing some repair work on the house, my roommate found what he thought was some kind of plant growing inside the light switch. I examined it more closely and realized it was a mouse skeleton! The poor thing somehow got in between the switches and was probably electrocuted. We're lucky the house didn't burn down. The skeleton is almost perfectly preserved; you can even see the individual phalanges.

This little bunny was sitting outside the back window, legs stretched out and totally relaxed.  The picture came out better than expected, considering I was shooting through a window into the sun.

Seagulls?  In Omaha?

Bambi figurines

Glass rabbit candy dish

We are Cantaloupe of Borg.  Resistance is futile.  You will buy a melon baller.

Nekkid bunny!  On a pillow!  (NSFW)

My J-List order from 2 months ago finally arrived!  I'll always pay the extra for air mail from now on.

Among the items I ordered:

Queen's Blade vol. 15:  Mellona.  This is a art book based on a combat RPG.  It's meant to be used in the game to battle opponents, but I bought it because it's full of pictures of hot shape-shifting bunny girl.  :-9

Rabbit & Sakura bento box.  The box has several compartments for various food items, a set of chopsticks and a case, and a cloth bag to keep it all together.

Rabbit chopsticks and a rabbit chopstick rest.

Year of the Rat wishing board

Year of the Rat cup.

My new PDA/phone, an HTC Mogul, and a Japanese good luck charm (a gold rat, gold coin and gold bell).  The phone has a keyboard that slides out of the side for easier texting.  And yes, I've put porn on my phone....

There are rabbit tracks all over the snow-covered lawn, but they have a tendency to congregate in a few areas, almost like rabbit highways.

This is "a 20% chance of snow", falling from the sky and all over the lawn.  (This was Wednesday, by Saturday most of the snow has melted, but there are still a few small patches)

Donation box seen at a local Pamida.  The viewer is left to his imagination.

An old picture of my engine.  Removing the "home plate" resonator frees up a few extra horses but leaves a gaping hole exactly the size of a regulation hockey puck.  I eventually replaced the intake elbow with one from a Camaro, which lacks the resonator hole, so I don't have a bunny under the hood anymore.

My computer tool kit.  It started life as a Belkin 65-piece tool kit acquired while I was working at Computer Renaissance.  I have since replaced almost every tool in it.  I think the only original parts left are the vacuum & attachments, the anti-static wrist strap and the sockets.  This kit contains 95% of the tools I have ever needed when working on computers.  If I could add a small multimeter, the kit would be pretty much complete.

Disney hooked me on bunnies early.

Butterfly closeup.  Huge picture for maximum detail.

Beaver teeth.  The upper incisors are 3/4 inch long, the lower incisors are 1-1/4 inches.  Freaking big teeth!

A pair of glasses I purchased at the Disney Store (part of a set of 4, I gave Bambi and Flower to my SO).  Does the girl bunny have a name?  IMDB just lists her as "Girl Bunny"

My SO took me to see The Last Mimzy today.  Best movie I think I've seen in a long time.  Most movies now days are so predictable, some I can figure out the ending in the first few minutes and most I've gotten the solution by the first 1/2 hour.  Mimzy was different.  I didn't figure out who the Mimzy was or where it came from until fairly near the end.  I like that.

There need to be more movies about plush rabbits.

Music by Roger Waters of Pink Floyd fame.

Today I found a very large bunny plush at Tractor Supply Co.  Only $35 after tax.   Easter is the best time of year, bunnies everywhere!

Here's a picture along with a Mattel Meeko for comparison.

Gee, I almost forgot!

It's Naked Bunny Month!

Bunnies!

A small bunny keepsake box I picked up for $1 at a local No Frills Supermarket.

A plush Thumper purse from Wal*Mart.  Yes, there's a zipper in his back so you can open him up and stick stuff inside him.  Just like in the movie!  ;-)
