Lightning!
Sep. 20th, 2005 12:49 amHoly crap! Huge bolt of lightning right in front of me! I could actually see the bolt itself. Normally thunderstorms happen off in the mountains several miles away, so we only see the flash and never the bolt.
And the thunder! Holy crap! Loud enough to wake the dead.
Very VERY strong electrical smell in the air.
It's started raining, the first rain my gauge has ever detected. A momentary power drop rebooted the weather station's web interface (crappy UPS!), but the hardware has its own batteries, so it's still recording everything.

Date: 2005-09-20 10:19 pm (UTC)At one point we had a brown out, so we dropped offline from EQ2 and shut down the puters.
It rained a bit here, not much. Though it's very humid right now.
